President Donald Trump is growing frustrated with the pace of deportations and has directed key officials, including “border czar” Tom Homan, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, and acting ICE Director Caleb Vitello, to accelerate removals.
“It’s driving him nuts they’re not deporting more people,” a source familiar with Trump’s thinking said.
Renewed Immigration Crackdown
White House spokesperson Kush Desai defended the administration’s stance, stating, “Hundreds of violent, predatory, and gang-affiliated criminal illegal aliens have already been rounded up and deported since President Trump took office. The administration is committed to mass deportations to put Americans first.”
Internal Pressure at ICE
Sources within ICE report that Homan holds daily calls, expressing dissatisfaction with current deportation numbers. He has made it clear to agents that he expects an increase in removals.
As the administration ramps up enforcement, ICE operations are expected to intensify in the coming months, shaping the national immigration debate.
