FBI Uncovers 2,400 Previously Unseen Documents on Kennedy Assassination

The FBI has discovered 2,400 previously unseen documents related to the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, according to a report by Axios. These documents were not provided to the commission responsible for reviewing and declassifying assassination-related records.

In total, the agency has uncovered 14,000 pages of material, though the specifics of their contents remain undisclosed.

Under U.S. law, all records related to Kennedy’s assassination were supposed to be fully declassified by 2017. However, both former President Donald Trump and President Joe Biden extended the deadline, citing concerns that full disclosure could impact national security and international relations.

In late January, Trump signed an executive order mandating the declassification of all remaining documents related to the assassination.
