Stasshani Jayawardena has been appointed as the new Chairman of Aitken Spence PLC, following an announcement made to the Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) today.
Jayawardena, the daughter of the late business magnate Deshamanya D H S Jayawardena, brings over 15 years of experience in corporate management. Under the mentorship of her father, she has played a key role in overseeing and shaping the strategic direction of various Aitken Spence Group companies, particularly in the leisure sector.
In its official statement, Aitken Spence highlighted Jayawardena’s leadership capabilities, emphasizing her deep industry knowledge and commitment to the company’s long-term vision. The conglomerate expressed confidence that her expertise would contribute to the group’s continued growth and success, in line with the legacy of her late father.
