Sri Lankan President Anura Kumara Dissanayake is set to embark on a three-day official visit to the United Arab Emirates today (10) to attend the 2025 World Government Summit in Dubai. The visit comes at the invitation of UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
President Dissanayake is scheduled to address the summit, which brings together global leaders to discuss governance, technological advancements, and emerging challenges. The event will host representatives from over 150 countries and more than 4,000 participants.
During his visit, the President will hold bilateral meetings with several world leaders, including UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and UAE Vice President and Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. These discussions aim to strengthen Sri Lanka’s diplomatic and economic ties with the UAE and other nations.
In addition, President Dissanayake will meet top executives from leading global companies in industries such as Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, energy, tourism, finance, and media, seeking to attract foreign investment to Sri Lanka.
Accompanying the President on this visit are Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment, and Tourism Minister Vijitha Herath, along with Energy Minister Kumara Jayakody.
