Plantations and Community Infrastructure Minister Samantha Vidyarathna has announced that coconut plantation owners will begin receiving fertilizer subsidies by the end of this month.
The government has allocated Rs. 5,600 million for the program, which is aimed at supporting coconut farmers with plantations of less than five acres.
According to Minister Vidyarathna, a total of 56,700 metric tons of fertilizer have been set aside for distribution under this initiative.
