Senator Rand Paul has rejected former President Donald Trump’s proposal to relocate Palestinians from Gaza, arguing that the U.S. should not get involved in another occupation.
“The pursuit for peace should be that of the Israelis and the Palestinians,” Paul wrote on X, adding, “I thought we voted for America First.” He warned against sending U.S. troops, stating, “We have no business contemplating yet another occupation to doom our treasure and spill our soldiers’ blood.”
Paul’s statement comes as several Arab nations and international leaders denounce Trump’s plan, calling it a violation of Palestinian rights. His remarks highlight a growing divide within the Republican Party over U.S. foreign policy in the Middle East.
