US President-elect Donald Trump has reignited discussions about the United States acquiring Greenland, citing national security concerns as a primary motivation.
“From a national security and global freedom perspective, it is vital for the US to take ownership of Greenland,” Trump stated on TruthSocial.
However, Greenland’s Prime Minister, Múte Egede, dismissed the idea outright, emphasizing the territory’s sovereignty. “Greenland is not for sale and never will be. Our long-standing fight for freedom must not be undermined,” he declared.
